In an effort to bolster their defense, Orange County SC has signed defender Walker Hume on-loan from MLS side FC Dallas.
Hume had an excellent college career at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and the defender was drafted in the second round of the 2017 MLS draft by FC Dallas and made two appearances for the club this season.

Hume is a seasoned defender who’s performed well on some of the biggest stages of American Soccer.
What the defender brings to Southern California is his height. At 6″5, Hume has great aerial ability and can compete against any forward in the USL.
Hume is also good with the ball at his feet and has the ability to start attacks out from the back.
While he likely won’t appear in Wednesday’s match vs. Phoenix Rising, he could debut in a crunch match at home this Saturday vs. Swope Park Rangers.
